NEW SYDNEY RIVER BRIDGE - ACTIVE TRANSPOTATION

MEMBERS

CAPE BRETON ISLAND HOPPERS VOLKSSPORT CLUB,

This is an event that our club should get behind to show that we are active living people. Let's show how many active people we really have!

We need the maximum number of Active Living people we can to show the Minister that $$ invested in Active Transportation infrastructure is good for citizens and is paying off.

:On the Sydney side of the NEW Sydney River Bridge

:Noon, Saturday, February 7th, 2015

Other
1.  Transportation and Infrastructure (TIR) Minister Geoff MacLellan will be there among other officials.  
2.  Cyclists and Active Transportation supporters- WALKERS AND JOGGERS- are urged to be there for this special event.  Meet at the Bridge by 11:30am.
3.  The Ceremony will include short messages from the officials, a walk/ride across the bridge and back
4.  Everyone invited at the TIR offices following the ceremony for a get-together, refreshments will be served.

This the beginning of a new era and it should be supported/celebrated

ROOTS TO BOOT FESTIVAL - BEGGAR'S BANQUET

ROOTS TO BOOT FESTIVAL - LOUISBOURG AREA AND

BEGGAR'S BANQUET



The first annual "Roots to boot" is a weekend festival taking place in the communities of Chéticamp and Louisbourg, 11 - 14 June 2015. It offers a unique blend of walks, storytelling, food experiences, local flavour concerts and late night square dances.


Club President Cal Thistle, The Social and Walk Committee have been at work to bring something new to our organization and we hope to make this an annual event.

Please find attached to your email a schedule and registration form outlining our newest and exciting adventure at Fortress Louisbourg and The Beggar's Banquet at "Point of View Suites" Louisbourg.

I have sent out the same registration in two formats, if you have any difficulties please let me know and I can send the form in any format you require or simply ask for a paper copy at the next walk event.

The CB Island Hoppers have been invited to partner with Fortress Louisbourg Association and Parks Canada to provide a special walk program that will include Fortress Louisbourg and the Lighthouse Coastal Trail.

The first annual "Roots to boot" is a weekend festival taking place in the communities of Chéticamp and Louisbourg, 11 - 14 June 2015.  The CB Island Hoppers will only be sponsoring walk events in the Louisbourg area for the 2015 season. The festival offers a unique blend of walks, storytelling, food experiences, local flavour concerts and late night square dances.

Some of our members may be interested in the late night square dances as well!
