To Volkssport Clubs Presidents

In the past you have been good enough to distribute our email to your
members and I would really appreciate it if you could do that one more
time. Thank you.

Hello Walkers! As you may know the 3 Volkssport clubs of Victoria will
jointly host the third exciting Phoenix Walking Festival on April 19-21
-- only two months from now! The spring weather is here already, flowers
are blooming and trees are starting to form their beautiful blossoms.
So, this a lovely place to be and we invite you all to come and join us
for our event and meet many old and new friends.

Full details about the event are available on the website www.vvpf.ca
http://www.vvpf.ca> or you can email vvpf@telus.net
vvpf@telus.net> if you have any questions. Already,
registrations are pouring in from many clubs in Canada and the USA.
The two hotels that are offering special prices to attendees are listed
on the website but their rooms are limited. Most registrants are also
signing up for the dinner on Saturday night and, again, there is a limit
on how many we can accept. So, if you are planning to attend, or
considering attending, I urge you to sign up quickly. This will help
us to get a handle on numbers and will ensure that you are not disappointed.

We are looking forward to greeting you in April.

Convention 2014 - Membership - Snow Shoe/Walk Event

CBIH Members,

The Canadian Volkssport Federation's National Convention and Annual General Meeting will take place from 30 May - 1 June 2014  in Banff Alberta.

With so many Cape Breton families now located in Alberta perhaps you may consider a mini vacation to see family or friends and then take in the convention at the same time.

You can register online in just a few minutes simply follow the links from our national website:

Our national convention are a great way to meet Volkssporters from across the country, USA and around the world.

Ann and I have just registered and felt the prices were very reasonable compared to other location where the convention has been held in the past.

Note below from Kathy Parr, Convention Vice Chair,

Hi All,
Just wanted to let you know that we are receiving great response for the Banff Convention. We have 24 registered for the convention and 32 rooms booked.
Due to this wonderful response we have increased our allotted rooms to 125 but that is all we can get, at this time, due to limited availability during the time of our convention. We have 85 rooms at the Banff Park Lodge and 40 rooms at the nearby Bow Valley Lodge. Please pass this information on to your members who are planning on attending. The information on how to make a reservation is on the Accommodations tab on the Convention website  cvfconvention2014.ca
Thank-you,
Kathy Parr,
Convention Vice Chair
